Why you should give your skin some time off and take an all natural stance!

When you are on the bblog/bblogger or beauty blogging scene you often think of anyone on here as picture perfect all the time. I don't know about anyone else but I chose to have make-up free days and natural hair days. Usually they are during the weekends when I am free or when I am just hanging out with the other half.

For me these make-up free days give my skin a chance to catch up with itself because lets face it we do use a lot of products on our skin. On my days off I do a messy ponytail so I don't have to use heat styling along with natural skin with just my toner and moisturizer on my skin after my cleansing routine. Personally here is why I should think all of us should start having these natural days!

  • Being confident in your own skin is the first step to being confident with make-up on - Yes people we need to all realize that we are all naturally pretty. If you're one of these people that thinks they look so much better with make-up you're wrong - because make-up only enhances what is naturally beautiful and that is what we all are.

  • Acne suffers, this could be your chance to win the war! - Yes that's right and I know you have heard it at least a million times if you suffer from acne but giving your skin some time off once in a while helps your pores immensely and gives your skin some fresh air!

  • No heat = Easier styling in the future - I have found when I have taken time away from my beloved GHD's and Babyliss hairdryer that my hair thanks me for it when I go back to heat styling. Sometimes like us our hair needs a break and a good old deep conditioning and day or two off allows your hair to remain in good condition.

  • Embrace how you look naturally - because then when you do have to rush out the house with no make-up on or your hair not quiet right then you will feel much less self conscious and that is surely a good thing!

So just a short post for you guys there, I like doing these sort of posts for you guys I feel as though they are helpful to you all to embrace how beautiful each and every person really is!

So do you have those make-up free/lazy days? Or do you wish you did that more? Leave me a comment letting me know I would love to hear them!

  1. Absolutely love - and whole heartedly agree with everything you've said! I love make-up free days and definitely think it's healthy to let your skin breathe! I've previously heard of girlfriends getting up an extra hour early to do their make-up before their new boyfriend wakes up (yes, really - I thought it was just 'in the movies') so that they would never see them without a full face of make-up, and I think it's a shame that some people feel the need to do that. I love the 'no make-up' look, it's so much nicer to give your skin some time to breathe!

    1. Wow! I have had past friends sleep in their make-up so their boyfriend doesn't see them make-up less! Me personally mine omes straight off as soon as I'm home - my partner even loves the smell of my make-up remover! Most of the time people need to remember how naturally beautiful they are!
