Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating Scrub review

Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating Scrub

A few months ago I decided I would begin working my way through the different exfoliating products I have somehow collected before going back to my trusted St Ives facial scrub. This Neutrogena Deep Clean invigorating scrub does just that; it invigorates the skin. I like to use this when I have my early morning showers as its a great wake me up product. This scrub gives a lovely refreshing feeling to the skin which also leaves the skin feeling tingly. If you don't like those type of products that leave the skin tingling I would stay well clear of this one! The product itself is little blue beads in an almost gel formula. The beads are in no way harsh on the skin, in fact I would say they are barely noticeable. The scent is what I would describe as the typical Neutrogena scent? Or am I mad thinking that certain brands have a scent they like to stick to? Like Nivea! Anyway moving on! For you early bird people that need a good wake me up product that will freshen up the skin I would totally recommend this! As for any change in my skin? I have noticed when I use this in the morning it changes my skin from that dull just rolled our of bed look to a wide an awake fresh look. I definitely notice that my skin looks dull in the day when I don't use this of the morning!

This product is also very cheap/affordable. For £3.99 you get 150ml of product - check it out at Boots here. I have been using this for around 2 and a half months and as you can see I am about half way through so it definitely lasts for the money!

This was my first Neutrogena scrub. Have you tried this one or any of their others? What is your favourite scrub? Let me know in the comments below!

Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturising Lotion review

Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturising Lotion

A few years ago when I was in the process of getting more tattoos I began my quest to find a multi purpose moisturiser; one I could use whilst my tattoo was healing and one to use after it had healed up as a normal moisturiser. After a long amount of time googling I came across the Aveeno brand. The reason this brand was so highly regarded amongst the tattoo community was because it has Aqua and Glycerin as its two first listed products; which are both key ingredients when trying to heal a tattoo. As far as a moisturiser goes this glides on and absorbs like water! It has a slight wheat smell in my opinion but nothing to overbearing or overpowering. For an everyday moisturiser or to fix up those dry patches you can get its fantastic! For healing tattoos I'd also recommend it! Since Aveeno have such a wide range try and get the un-scented versions when you are looking for something to use alongside heeling a tattoo (less ouch moments!) However if you are just interested in a new moisturiser the Aveeno brand is fantastic for different ranges of moisturisers with various different ingredients!

The Skin Relief Moisturising Lotion includes a range of ingredients including shea butter and oats which claims help to moisturise skin for 24 hours. The Aveeno brand claims to be good for those with extra dry skin and as someone with eczema I would say it definitely does the job!

If you are interested in picking up the Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturising lotion you can pick up 200ml of this product for £5.49 over at boots here. To find out more about the Aveeno brand check out their website here.

So have you tried the Aveeno brand? What products have you tried? Let me know in the comments what you think!

Simple Kind to Skin Vital Vitamin Night Cream review

Simple Kind to Skin Vital Vitamin Night Cream

A few days ago I reviewed one of my favourite day creams from the Simple brand so today I thought I would talk about Simple and one of their night creams which I absolutely love! The Simple Kind to Skin Vital Night Cream. Once again Simple, for me, has delivered another amazing product for those of us with oily/sensitive skin and those of us that want a no fuss product! This night cream every shows amazing results for me and in the morning my skin feels hydrated and refreshed without leaving any residue. For young skin this is perfect and I love it! If you are after a night cream that doesn't still linger about till when you wake up in the morning I would say try the Simple Kind to Skin Vital Vitamin Night Cream. For a 50ml tub of cream it is £5.60 over at boots. The price is pretty affordable and perfect for those that are younger and looking for a night cream! The tub also lasts a long time; I'm a 1/4 of the way through a tub I bought 6 months ago!

So have you tried any Simple products or their night cream? Let me know in the comments!

Simple Kind to Skin Protecting Moisture Cream review

Simple Kind to Skin Protecting Moisture Cream

Hello guys! Hope you all are well! Today I am writing about a product I use all the time and is a staple product in my skincare routine; Simple Kind to Skin Protecting Moisture Cream! When you're in your early twenties or even your teens I feel like you shouldn't overload your skin with too many chemicals in your skincare products; so I chose to begin using Simple skincare when I was around 19. This Kind to Skin cream is my morning moisturiser and I love it! For those of us with oily areas on our faces or that want a daily moisturiser that absorbs quick and doesn't affect your make-up this is perfect! Added bonus; it has SPF10 in it so if you forget to apply sunscreen on your skin you have a bit there! I would totally recommended this for anyone with sensitive or oily skin or for those that want a no fuss moisturiser! You can grab a 50ml bottle of this product for £4.99 at boots here but keep checking up on Boots as they often have a 3 for 2 promotion on Simple products!

So have you tried any Simple products? What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments below!

Soap & Glory Hand Food review

Soap & Glory Hand Food

So I think we have all heard about the wonderful brand that is Soap & Glory for numerous products they have. Well I thought today I would take a look at another Soap & Glory product myself; Soap & Glory hand food. I got this to try in last years Christmas gift set and I was exited to try it as I love hand creams! Soap & Glory market this as a Hydrating hand cream and for me it does just that with a lovely clean/soap smelling scent that is almost similar to their Clean on Me scent. If you are after a portable little hand cream I would definitely recommend Soap & Glory! If you are after the mini 50ml size I have you can grab it for £2.50 over on boots here. However if you want the bigger size and want to save a bit of money you can get the 125ml Hand Food from boots here for £5.00.

Also if you're interested in Soap & Glory reviews you should check out my review of the Sugar Crush Shower Gel here!

So have you tried Soap & Glory before? Have you tried their Hand food moisturiser? What were your thoughts? Let me know in the comments!

Loreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution review

You have all probably heard so much about this product, well you are about to hear some more! The Loreal Micellar solution has been one of those products that has been massively hyped and like a lot of bloggers out there I wanted to give it a try so I picked it up!

Luckily when I spotted this I was on the look out for a new make-up remover to try. This product to me lives up to its hype as being a good make-up remover it removes everything and the product itself is as light as water so if you are after something to remove your make-up that you can't feel on your skin afterwards this is perfect!

This product claims to do three things;

1. Dissolves make-up
2. Unclogs pores and removes impurities
3. Tones and soothes skin

Although I agree that the Loreal Micellar solution helps to dissolve make-up and remove impurities I'm not too sure on its claims that it unclogs pores and tones the skin. I personally chose to start using my toner again alongside the product after giving it a go as I don't believe this alone can work as a whole cleansing and toning routine.

However as far as a make-up remover goes this is one of the best I have tried! I think I will be making the switch to this as my regular make-up remover! But is it worth the hype? For me not entirely. BUT the fact that it feels like there is nothing on your skin, its weightless and that it removes make-up with ease itself is worth the hype; just not for its cleansing/toning abilities...

So have you tried the Loreal Micellar Solution? What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments!

Product empties #9

So it has come round to this time again! Product empties! I must admit I am getting very good at using up product now as opposed to buying them then letting them sit in my little hoard/collection of products. I have a mish mash of things this time round so lets take a look!

Eclipz Argan Oil Hair Treatment - Review here

I reviewed this little beauty from Primark a while back and loved it! Since Primark isn't too local for me I won't be repurchasing this that often but for those looking in to a hair mask or those just starting off with experimenting with hair masks I would say give this one a try!

The Co-operative fairtrade skin care double faced cotton pads

Cotton pads always show up for me in product empties! I go through at least a bag of them a month! They are so multi purpose; taking of nail polish, removing makeup, applying toner... the list is endless! These ones I picked up from the co-operative but in all honestly they are all exactly the same. I usually just pick up cotton wool pads when I need them and from wherever is easiest to pick them up! However if you have been eyeing up the co-operative cotton pads they are very soft and work well!

Maybelline Super Stay 24hr concealer

Back in my college days this concealer was my go to concealer. I would say it compares to the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer so if you are after something similar give this one a try! I have so many little bits left at the end of a few of these tubes so I am making my way through them one at a time! I must admit the consistency for my skin now that I am older is a little too thick. Luckily now that I don't suffer from bad/irritated skin and severe acne I don't need thick concealer; but for those of you in the market for something with a bit more coverage that won't break the bank try this! I would repurchase this for those days when I do need a touch more coverage.

Diesel Loverdose perfume - Review here

If you checked out my review of the Diesel Loverdose perfume you will know it is my daily perfume. Surprisingly though even the smaller bottles take me a good few months to get through! This is a lovely sweet scent that lasts for around 6 hours. If you are in to sweet scents I would totally recommend this! I would say I would repurchase this but I always get them bought as gifts! I already have two of these in my make-up cabinet!

Superdrug Mud Therapy - Deep Cleansing Mud Mask - Review here

One of my very first reviews was on the Superdrug own brand of face masks and to be honest I still use them! They're pretty cheap and for me they do the job! I use them mostly for oil control when my skin tends to go a bit oily. I used to use them once a week but now I use them once a month so I do think it helped my skin in some way to become less oily in areas! If you suffer from an oily t-zone or oily skin I would recommend these masks!

Oilatum

A bit of a weird product to feature in a product empties post I know... But recently my eczema has decided to come back in areas so to keep it at bay I have been taking baths a few times a week in this stuff and it seems to have gotten rid of it again! If you suffer from eczema also check out my post on how I deal with it on a day to day basis!

So those are my product empties! One thing I noticed I don't include that everyone else does is my shampoo and conditioner! Because I do these posts so sparingly as it takes me ages to go through anything I would have to put in so many of the same shampoo and conditioner I use so I leave it out! I don't know if anyone else does that! Would you guys be interested in seeing a hair care routine and what I use to Shampoo and Condition my hair? Let me know in the comments!

VO5 Heat Protect Styling Spray

Hello everyone! Hope you are all doing well! If you follow me on my twitter page you will know I have been looking for a new heat protection spray that I can spray lightly over my hair whilst I straighten it. This is because even though I have pretty long hair I would like to grow it a tad bit longer! Also who doesn't love healthier looking hair? So on my most recent trip to boots I decided I would treat myself with my boots points that I have been saving  away and picked up the VO5 Heat Protect Styling Spray.

VO5 Heat Protect Styling Spray

I picked up this product from boots for £3.69 for 200ml. I was looking for a spray that specifically said you can spray it on dry hair as well as wet hair- however this one doesn't say that! Boo! I do use it on dry hair as well as wet hair before blow drying so I can give you guys a review on how it works throughout the hair styling process!

First off on wet hair. I found that on wet hair this did seem to help my hair dry my hair quicker and also with a shine to it! On to dry hair, the spray felt like it had given my hair a protect film and I have definitely noticed a lot less breakage to my hair from heat styling with my straighteners! I would recommended this for both wet and dry hair styling. The spray itself claims to protect your hair from heat up to 230c - since I use GHD straighteners I think it lives up to that claim!

The spray itself if you take a sneak peak inside the bottle is white in colour. The scent of this spray is also amazing! It smells lovely and sweet! I find that it makes my hair smell lovely and clean throughout the day which is an added bonus! So far I have been using this for around a week and I have used it every time I heat style. I haven't gone through that much but if you use your heat tools to death you might power through this spray! The battle itself also has a handy lock button for the spray nozzle so if you have any kids that tend to play with your make-up/beauty tools then this will stop the spray ending up everywhere except your hair!

So do you have any heat protection sprays you could recommend to me? What is it that you use? Have you tried this one? Let me know in the comments!
