Christmas 2014 - Tree & Decorations

Hello everyone! So it is, as this is posted, the first of December! The Christmas season is well and truly upon us and yes I have had my tree up for a few days now! Since November 25th to be precise! For some it might be too early. For me it's been so exiting having all the decorations up. This is probably because it is mine and Gaz's first Christmas in our own home I'm adding to decorations day by day however I thought I would share with you guys my Christmas wonderland as it stands!

Christmas Tree - 2014

Here is my tree with one of my ever so full bookshelves displayed behind it. I really love how fun and colourful the tree is with the lights on but it has the traditional red, gold, silver and green colour scheme when the lights are off! The lights themselves are fantastic. They can either be static, flashing, a soft fade in and out or alternating between colours. Great for just sitting with the tree lights on in the evening. You may have also spotted the train set underneath the tree. That was my little treat to Gaz as he has always loved the idea of having a train track running around a tree. It actually moves and drives round the tree with lights and sound! Gosh I sound like a child...

Christmas Train Set

For those of you that are interested we got the train track from TJ Hughes for £9.99. Not only can it be built in to the large track we have it can also be built in to a smaller circular shaped track.

Advent Calendar 2014

Here is the tree without all the lights on and yes our advent calendars underneath! I'm far too exited to open my No7 advent calendar!

Christmas Fireplace 2014

I'm far too happy with my fireplace. Yes my candle and snow globe have knitted hats on... don't judge me! I'm over the moon with how my fireplace has turned out and I especially love the stockings waiting for Santa!

Christmas Fireplace 2014

Here is a close up of the bottom of my fireplace for those of you that are interested! It features a Christmas snow globe, a decorative gingerbread house and a Christmas scented diffuser!

Christmas Entrance

We've also updated our entrance with a little Christmas sign and some tartan... who doesn't love tartan?

Christmas 2014 - Tree & Decorations

So there you have it! My christmassy living room! Of course we have put some odds and sods around the house but this is definatley the room I am most proud of. I am so exited for Christmas this year and I think we've done a fantastic job for our first Christmas in our own house!

Are your Christmas decorations up yet? Are you exited for Christmas and all it brings? Where have you managed to find some amazing Christmas decs? Let me know in the comments!
