Product Empties #13

Product Empties #13

I swear product empties time comes around quicker each time! Usually by the time I come to write these I already have a new bag of empties growing (currently the count is at 3)! Anyway I hope you all enjoy the 13th product empties post that I have written! Unlucky for some? Hopefully not!

Hair

Yes the usual occurrence is back. I go through more of these that I care to admit. I'd hate to total up the cost of them! Batiste XXL dry shampoo is crucial for me. Since I have such thick hair it can get weighed down very easily. Especially when it is due a wash. This helps to liven my hair up and also adds a bit of body to it. It is also great for those of you, like me, that have a full fringe and need to get rid of those annoying gaps that always occur!

This is actually my favourite heat protection spray currently. I am making my way through a TRESemme one which I reviewed at the moment however I have two of these waiting in my cupboard to begin re-using. If you are looking for my full thoughts you can check out my review here. All you need to know is that I love it!

Scents

Soft & Gentle Deodorant

Well you have to include the usual boring items don't you! Yes it is a deodorant. Yes it works. Yes I always use Soft & Gentle...NEXT!

I have reviewed this body spray from Soap & Glory here. I love this spray. It only lasts a few hours but it is perfect to re-apply throughout the day or for a nice light scent before you leave the house. It is also great to chuck in your overnight bag for a quick morning refresher. I always spray this amongst my hair and on my clothes to make the lovely feminine scent linger for even longer.

I should really explain why there are two of these! I have been meaning, for the longest time, to remember to put the first empty bottle of perfume in a product empties post. It just sat there on my bookshelf looking empty and sad. Then I finished ANOTHER bottle and thought I had to get rid of them! So here you go! I usually don't stick these in my little bag as I am afraid they will smash however I just had to remind myself! This is my everyday perfume and I absolutely love it. For those of you that find that perfumes give you headaches try this out! The Loverdose range have been the only perfumes which don't give me the worlds worst headache! You can check out my full review here.

Dolce & Gabanna perfume

I received a little sample of this and thought I would give it a go. It did give me a slight headache however nothing too severe. The scent was lovely, feminine and mature (can you tell I am horrible and describing scents?) I absolutely hated this sample packaging. The idea is that you pull up the little tab with the ^ arrow and then squeeze the card to apply the scent. 9/10 times it didn't really work and I had to strangle the packaging to actually apply any perfume! Not good!

Make-up

I have been debating with my OH for the longest time how long I could leave this eyebrow pencil before taking a photograph of it. Needless to say it became a challenge of how small I could get this eyebrow pencil before it disappeared. The pencil itself is actual smaller underneath the two lids and yes it is still going and in my make-up bag! However I thought I would include it in this product empties since it is almost done. You can check out my full thoughts here. I really love this eyebrow pencil. It creates the perfect natural eyebrow and the wax that is provided helps perfectly set your brow. I have already purchased another!

Boots Natural Collection Concealer in Light

I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this product yet for you guys! Note to self: must review! For those of you that live in the UK Boots have their own brand called Natural Collection. For years now I have used their concealer because it is £1.99 (or 3 for £5) and it does the job! I can't recommend this enough!

Skincare

I absolutely adore this product. You can read my full opinion on it here. As you can see I have pretty much dug the whole contents of the bottle out to use! I use this as a cleansing wash as well as a cleansing mask. This bottle I actually got in my Yule Monty Limited Edition set and I have only just finished it! I have already re-purchased another bottle and I plan on always buying this! I absolutely love it. It has really helped with oil control on my face. It also helps to clear up any spots or blemishes quickly.

Bits & Bobs

Cotton buds and pads

Yes once again. Good old cotton buds and cotton pads. Who doesn't go through these?

So there we have it! Another product empties post done and dusted! Have you tried any of these products? What were your thoughts? Do you write product empties posts? Let me know in the comments!

Soap & Glory - Peaches and Clean Deep Purifying Cleanser review

Here I am once again reviewing another Soap & Glory product that I got inside my Yule Monty set. This time around it is Peaches and Clean!

Soap & Glory - Peaches and Clean Deep Purifying Cleanser

I have been wanting to try Peaches and Clean for the longest time so I am so glad that this was included in the Yule Monty set. Peaches and Clean is a 3 in 1 wash off cleanser that is supposed to get rid of all your make-up as well as provide a deep cleanse for your skin. You can usually pick this up for £8 for 200ml. Check out Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean here.

So what are my thoughts? Well I initially thought I hated this product. On the front of the bottle Peaches and Clean promotes being 'for all skin types'. Personally I think this is wrong and here is why! I have sensitive skin and I decided to first try this one morning a few weeks ago. After using it my face was as red as red can be! I was worried that this was a skin/allergic reaction as I am prone to them however luckily after a lot of moisturiser and 30-40 minutes the redness went down. After that initial skin reaction it hasn't happened since. Following my first use I did some research and discovered that I was not the only person who experiences this. On further research I discovered the reason why this reaction occurs is because the ingredients in the product are so active that your skin may not be used to it and show a slight reaction So my only advice is to be ready for that initial redness! To be honest I think your skin has to build up a tolerance or an acceptance to those active ingredients before you can fully enjoy the benefits!

Now my skin is totally used to this and I love it. Even after that initial redness my skin was left the softest and cleanest that it has been in a while. I even use it as a deep cleansing face mask now a few times a week - I leave this on for 10 minutes then wash it off! So for me it has two uses as both a make-up remover and a face mask. I definitely see this as a necessity in my routine now as it leaves my skin feeling so flawless and clean. Also I love the smell - yes it does smell like peaches and yes the smell may make you consider if you should eat the cleanser or use it on your face! Overall I am so happy I finally got to try this and I definitely plan on buying more in the future!

So have any of you tried the Peaches and Clean cleanser?  What are your thoughts? Did you experience a reaction? Let me know in the comments!

Soap & Glory The Yule Monty Limited Edition Jonathan Saunders Bag

Soap & Glory The Yule Monty Limited Edition Jonathan Saunders Bag £27 (RRP £60)

This has to be the most exited I have ever been when writing a blog post. EVER! I only became a fan of Soap & Glory after receiving some Soap & Glory presents last year for Christmas. When the Yule Monty which usually retails for £60 went down to £27 I totally missed the memo and missed the original online sales. So I decided to check my local boots who were also out of stock! By chance when a few more went back online I managed to snatch one up and quickly order it! You can just ask my other half if you want to know how exited I was that I would soon be receiving the Yule Monty limited edition bag!

Firstly I must tell you the bag is so big. I could tell it was big from the pictures and obviously the big containers of products you get however I didn't think it would be as big as it was! I love the bag it is a pink bag with silver detailing and has little silver buckle detailing on the zip saying 'Limited Edition'. The inside of the bag has a lovely smooth silver lining. Personally I have used this to organise my mini day to day make-up bags, make-up removers and skincare. It nicely stores all my daily products in one place that I can quickly access. It really is a strong and durable bag and since you get not only this but 9 products for £27 you definitely get a lot for your money! I can even see myself using this for when I go abroad to keep all my toiletries, make-up etc in.

The box has a little cardboard wrap around it that shows all the lovely products you will be receiving...and yes your eyes do not deceive you there are 9 full sized products!

So here are all the products! Some I have already tried but the majority I am completely new to. I have been meaning to expand the products I have tried from the Soap & Glory range however I thought now would be a great place to try more since each product works out at £3! So in the bag you get:

I have linked the products I have reviewed in case you would like to check them out. I will be sure to be posting reviews on the products I have yet to try!

And now on to the little surprise sample in the box! I hadn't actually read on many blog posts about this little sample so it was nice to see and have! The sample is for Soap & Glory Genius In a Bottle which is a serum/ moisturiser that you can use before your make-up. I'll be sure to review these samples for you guys! I really do like that Soap & Glory included 3 sample sachets for three uses. Big thumbs up there Soap & Glory!

So did you manage to get your hands on the Soap & Glory The Yule Monty bag? What were your thoughts? Or have you tried any of these products? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
