Prepare yourself for a long blog post guys! If you have been a follower of my blog for a while you will know that
last year my wonderful other half proposed to me. It was our second year having a weekend away to Colwyn and this year marked our third!
We started off visiting Llandudno. We went away on the 3rd of April on a bank holiday so bus links from Colwyn were limited to Llandudno. We usually take a little detour to Llandudno so it was nice to go for our usual walk around early!
One thing I love about Llandudno is that everywhere you look it is just so picturesque! I want to live in a pastel coloured house please!
It was on and off raining on the day we went to Llandudno which didn't dampen our spirits! I was using this day to practice taking photographs with my Nikon CoolPix rather than my Iphone as I had done in previous visits! It was the perfect chance to photograph the surrounding scenery... hence why this post is very picture heavy!
We always seem to stop of at the arcades in Llandudno and offload my change that is weighing down my handbag.
We didn't win much but we won enough vouchers to get two Vimto lollies! They were well earner let me tell you!
I'm very proud of this photograph. Everyone I have shown says it looks like a postcard! You can really tell how stormy it was in the skies that day!
But as you can see the skies did keep clearing up enough for us to take a good long walk throughout the day soaking up the scenery!
I really love this photo of a single person climbing the mountains in Llandudno. I was proud of my eye for photography throughout this little trip! I've often said during the blogger chats that photography is something I admire as a skill and I would really love to do a course on photography to learn the basics,
Again another picturesque photo. At this point we were heading home, or back to our hotel, the wind was really picking up!
The next day saw us returning back to the place were Gaz proposed! Conwy Castle! It was very heart-warming to return as an engaged couple who now live together! So much has changed in a year and it really made me reflect on how far we had come and what we have accomplished.
I will never tire of Conwy. It is so beautiful.
No matter which way you look the view is astounding. Those that know me know that I have a fear of heights! However I powered through, took my time and climbed to the very top of Conwy Castle for the second year in a row!
It's very easy to catch a beautiful photo of Conwy Castle. It does all the work for you!
Here is a picture of me at the top of the castle! It was a scorcher of a day, despite me wearing a coat and scarf which I couldn't shove anywhere else, which made it a pleasant walk around the castle!
Me and Gaz had a very busy week the week before we went to away! So it was nice to relax and soak in the scenery!
Here is a picture of me and Gaz at the very top of the Castle! We both did very well!
This view is very iconic for me. It is the view I looked out on when I rang mum to say that I had said yes to Gaz! It's a gorgeous view!
We eventually found the little nook in the castle where Gaz proposed after a little bit of hunting! It was well worth the hunt as it brought back a flood of emotions! It was lovely to come back to the very spot!
Next we visited Britain's smallest house! I had visited this a few years back when I was a child. Of course it seemed bigger then despite being so small!
I was literally stood right against the wall in this photo. It was incredibly small! I joked with Gareth that there would be very limited space to storm off to if any domestics occurred! Personal space? What is that!
So that's it! All our photos from our little weekend away! I hope you enjoyed having a little nosey through our weekend! On the third day we relaxed and travelled back home! I'm already exited for returning back next year, everything being well, as it is a weekend away that holds a lot of fond memories for us. Who knows what year four will bring?
