*Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes - Review*

GASP! SHOCK! HORROR! Oh no I'm about to discuss the dreaded cleansing wipe! As I'm sure many of you will know cleansing wipes seem to have a bit of a bad reputation in the beauty world. I myself was offered the chance by Simple to try a few of their products after running the Simple Kind To City Skin giveaway. One of the products I was sent were these cleansing facial wipes. Personally I used to use these wipes all the time when I first started wearing make-up at 16 so I was interested to try them again at the age of 22! A good 6 years later!

Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes

Firstly, I don't use these wipes to remove my make-up just because I have methods now which are a ton better and quicker at removing my make-up. I use cleansing wipes generally as morning face wipes. They are perfect for when I am up early to wake up my skin and remove any sweat, oils or sebum that may have collected over night.

Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes

The wipes are well saturated which is fantastic. There is nothing worse than purchasing cleansing wipes that are pretty much bone dry! They are lovely and refreshingly cool on the skin. As a morning pick me up these wipes are fantastic. I did try removing my make-up once with these and to be honest although it got rid of my face make-up it wasn't to good with my eye make-up which is a bit more stubborn to remove. If you wear little make-up then these wipes will be perfect to remove make-up however for a quick refreshment of the skin throughout the day or in the morning, as I do, they are really good! They provide a great surface cleanse of the skin!

Have you tried the simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes? Do you use cleansing wipes? What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments!

Makeup Revolution Amazing Lengths Mascara - Clear - Review

Hello everyone! Recently I am sure you have all been aware of the brand Makeup Revolution and how it is taking the blogging world by storm. A few months ago my lovely other let me pick a few bits and bobs from the brand that I thought I was like. Today I will be reviewing their Amazing Lengths Mascara in Clear.

Makeup Revolution Amazing Lengths Mascara

Now I know what you're thinking... in clear? Why? Well I have been on the hunt for the perfect product to set my eyebrows and eyebrow products. I don't use too much eyebrow product as I prefer the more natural look however I do like to ensure everything is set so it won't budge.

I will however tell you that I did briefly try this out as a mascara. It did manage to lengthen my lashes and separate them well however it didn't hold much of a curl. I would be interested to see if the same mascara in black or brown has a different formula. If you have tried it do let me know your thoughts!

Makeup Revolution Amazing Lengths Mascara

As far as setting my eyebrows well this product is amazing. It perfectly sets my eyebrow hairs and the product I add to fill in any gaps doesn't budge all day. I have recommend this to a lot of people for their eyebrows as it is just so affordable and does the job perfectly. You can pick up this mascara for £1.50 in clear, black, ultra black and black brown from Superdrug here or on the Makeup Revolution website here

Have you tried any of Makeup Revolution's make-up or their mascara yet? What do you use to set your eyebrows? Are there any brow products you would recommend? Let me know in the comments!

Poundland Beauty: Classics Nail Polish Remover - Review

Hello everyone! I don't know about you...(but I'm feeling 22...ehem) but when I am stocking up on the good old beauty essentials I really don't fancy spending a lot on things I always end up repurchasing. Certain things like nail polish remover I go through like water. Today I am once again looking at what Poundland have to offer in the way of nail polish remover!

After a quick search in Poundland I stumbled upon this rather large bottle of nail polish remover. I believe there was a smaller 200ml version for £1 which would be great for travel or for those that don't go through bucket loads of nail polish remover... however for me the larger sized option is perfect!

I must admit I was a little bit cautious of picking up another Poundland nail polish remover. I have already tried their Allura nail polish remover which I have reviewed here and I must admit I wasn't blown away. This nail polish contains acetone... yes yes I know it's not the best for your nails but honestly acetone free doesn't remove a thing from my nails! So what are my thoughts? Well I absolutely love it! This nail polish remover does the job perfectly and removes every last bit of nail polish remover so effortlessly. My only bug bare with this product is the packaging. The lid is a simple click open and pour out lid which is perfectly fine however sometimes I find that when I think I have clicked the lid down I haven't. IT's not too much of an issue for me as I leave my nail polish remover on my vanity however for those of you who may leave your nail polish remover where it may get tipped over or near kids it might be something to consider.

Overall I will definitely be picking this up in the future in place of any of the more expensive nail polish removers out there that I have forked out for in the past! What's your favourite nail polish remover? Do you prefer acetone or acetone free nail polish remover? Let me know in the comments!

Fashion: George at Asda and Monsoon

Hello everyone! Today I am bringing to you a long awaited fashion post! I haven't done a clothing post in a while and I have missed doing them! Now I know what you're thinking... George at Asda and a Monsoon dress? They are at two opposite ends of a price spectrum. I totally believe that you can get great clothes at both affordable and expensive prices! So I thought I would share the two dresses I recently picked up!

Dress - George at Asda
George at Asda - Dress - £10

The first dress I picked up is this grey floral dress from George at Asda. I picked it up for £10. I was looking for a more lightweight dress that I could wear during summer and this is perfect. I can also team it with a tank top underneath to make it a bit more modest.

Dress - George at Asda

If you have read some of my past clothing hauls you will know that I am a sucker for both floral patterns and skater style dresses. This dress was luckily a combination of the two.

Dress - George at Asda

The back also attracted me to the dress. The draped noted back is a lovely little touch and is really comfortable and cool for during the summer.

Dress - Monsoon
Monsoon - Dress - £39

The net dress I picked up was this lovely detailed patterned dress from Monsoon for £39. I loved the bright colours that accent the pattern on the dress. The dress itself is also lightweight and a bit baggy which will make it perfect for work.

Dress - Monsoon

I'm in love with the pattern! It is absolutely gorgeous and I love the bright purple that runs throughout the pattern. It really catches your eye to the dress! The background colour to the pattern is a deep navy blue.

Dress - Monsoon

Of course the biggest difference in the two dresses is the price tag. The George at Asda dress is £10 whereas the Monsoon dress I picked up was £39. As much as I love picking up affordable clothes I also love picking up more expensive clothes on occasion. Who doesn't love the occasional pricey treat!?

Where are your favourite places to pick up clothes? What is your favourite clothing brand? Which of these two dresses do you like? Let me know in the comments!

Lifestyle: Windermere Day Out

Hello everyone! If you follow me on Instagram, check me out here, you will know that me and Gareth recently went on a little day out to Windermere. Gareth had booked a week off of work and I am off for the summer. It's rare that we ever both have time off at the same time so we thought we would use the opportunity to go on a little day out... so we made our butties, packed our crisps and chocolate and went!

Windermere

We decided to take a trip down to Windermere as Gareth's mum and dad used to love it here. I haven't been in a while either so it was lovely to take a trip down there!

Windermere - Mint Choc Chip Ice Cream

It was absolutely roasting when we went! This mint choc chip ice cream, my favourite if anyone is taking notes, melted faster than I could eat it! I managed however to salvage it! You can't beat an ice cream on a hot day!

Windermere

We decided to take one of the boat trips they had on offer. They had a few with different routes which is great. Since we didn't want to get too lost as we had train times to keep an eye on for getting home we decided we'd take a boat trip that simply took us round Windermere Lake and then deposited us back to where we started! Above you can see Gaz's 'I'm on a boat' pose. Somebody please forward this post to vogue.

Windermere

Ignore my lopsided fringe! This is us relaxing on the boat! I just had to scrape my hair back as it was far too warm! The whole ride took around 45 minutes and was £15 for the two of us.

Windermere

I couldn't stop taking photos as we went around. Every sight was so beautiful! Not only were there the bigger tour boats there were also boats for hire available and boats that people owned out on the lake.

The hotels and houses located around the lake were stunning. I hope me and Gaz can come back for a weekend away somewhere near the lake!

We really looked out on the weather. It was scorching hot and we really needed to keep on top of the factor 50! Still I managed to get burnt on my back and of course I was wearing a dress with a patterned cut out back so my back looked very unusually burnt!

This is Gaz's 'deep in thought pose'. As we went round the lake on the tour the boat driver gave little bits of description and history of the lake which was nice.

As we came to the end of the tour we decided we would sit and eat our dinner on the bits of green you can see on the picture. We brought Kit-Kats to snack on and they had melted in to some other form by the time we came to eat! Needless to say they needed to be chucked in the fridge when we got home to be brought back to life!

Overall it was a lovely day out. I would totally recommend Windermere particularly when the weather is lovely and warm. The lake itself isn't too far from town to so if you fancy a bit of shopping you can pop in to town too! We popped in to town on the way home to pick up fudge for Gaz, one of his favourites, as well as a cooler from Costa for me!

Have you been to Windermere before? Where would you recommend for a good day out? Let me know in the comments!

Bomb Cosmetics - Flutter By Butterfly Bath Bomb - Review

Hello everyone! If you follow my blog on twitter you will know how much I love having a pamper evening, particularly during the blogger chats! I'm much more of a shower person as they are quick and practical for however when I want to relax I always choose a nice hot bath! I love bath bombs however they aren't something I usually spend my money on as I literally see my money fizzle away in a bath tub! However the other half, a few weeks ago, kindly treated me to this Flutter By Butterfly bath bomb from the brand Bomb Cosmetics.

This particular bath bomb is from their Bath Blaster range and costs just £2.29 which for a bath bomb is so affordable. You can check out this particular bath bomb and order it from the Bomb Cosmetics website here.

This particular bath bomb is so cute in appearance! The little moulded leaf and butterfly really add the perfect little touch. The website describes Flutter By Butterfly as:

'A kiss from a butterfly, with the pure cocoa butter swirl in the middle to soothe your skin and feel your cares flutter away with the pure mandarin and neroli essential oils.

A juicy combination of fresh apples and sweet cherries to create an explosion of fruity scents.'

Now... to my novice nose I can tell you that it is a lovely combination of floral and fruity. The great thing about this bath bomb is that the scent lingers throughout your bath and subtly on the skin after your bath. The scent however isn't overbearing which can sometimes be the case.

I was phone ready to take pictures of this bath bomb for you guys... let me tell you it was easier said than done and luckily my phone didn't dive in and enjoy the bath bomb too! This bath bomb fizzes out beautifully and evenly dissolves throughout the bath leaving no residue in the bath. The leaf part of the bath bomb is actually soap like in texture so it takes slightly longer to dissolve.

The water itself turned green and was left beautifully scented. Overall I really loved this bath bomb and I can't wait to try some more from the Bomb Cosmetics line. A massive thumbs up from me!

Have you tried Bomb Cosmetics? What is your favourite bath bomb? Let me know in the comments!

*Pond's Institute Eye Contour Cream - Review*

Hello everyone! Carrying on from my last review today I will be reviewing another product sent to me by Pond's; their Eye Contour Cream.

You can check out the Ponds Institute Eye Contour Cream on the Boots website here where it is available for £7.99. You can also check it out here on the Pond's website all the details on their product.

Pond's sent me through a great choice as I am currently on the lookout for a good eye cream. I really don't know what I want or need in an eye cream so I have found myself trying out a few to see what I really like and more importantly what my skin needs. The Pond's Eye Contour cream is designed to help reduce puffiness and smooth the skin. It contains Vitamin E, Pro Vitamin B5 and other nutrients. You get 15ml of product inside the tube which is a pretty decent size for an eye cream.

The packaging is very sleek and professional. The tube itself is a cream matte finish. So on to the product! Well I love it! I think it is perfect as a day eye cream as it is so lightweight and blendable. The cream looks like a serum when it comes out of the tube however as you begin to rub the cream in it becomes like water and absorbs beautifully in to the skin.

I use this cream during the day under my make-up and I absolutely love it. It is also cool in temperature so I find it tends to soothe my tired eyes! I have noticed that recently in the day time my eyes have looked much more hydrated and less tired. Overall I think that Pond's have once again hit the nail on the head with a product that plain and simply works! I would recommend this for anyone that is looking for a new addition to their skincare routine!

Have you tried Pond's Eye Contour Cream? What is your favourite eye cream? Let me know in the comments!
