Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well! Are we exited for Valentines day this week? Let me know in the comments below!
Today I am bringing you two Makeup Revolution products! The *
Pro Looks Stripped & Bare Palette* and the *
E103 Pro Blending Brush*. The palette retails for an amazingly affordable £6 and the blending brush, get ready for this, is £1.95! £1.95! Can you believe it? Finally brushes that don't break the bank! Anyway let's get on to the review!
Stripped & Bare Palette
First lets take a look at the Stripped & Bare palette. The palette itself comes in a lovely rose gold cardboard box. Who else is loving the rose gold trend? Such a gorgeous colour! The palette itself is in a sturdy plastic casing which is pretty much the casing for a few other Makeup Revolution palettes such as their
concealer palettes which I've reviewed here!
Here is the palette itself. How gorgeous are the shades? I love this palette as it has a fantastic range of neutrals and deeper tones - perfect for day to night look! The idea behind the palette is that the colours are grouped together for different looks however, of course, you can mix and match! There is also a great variety of mattes and shimmers available. The shadows themselves are particularly soft and so easy to blend! Makeup Revolution have also been very generous with their mirror! Thumbs up!
If you pick up this palette yourself you will see that it comes with a plastic cover sheet which has all the individual names of each shadow. Below I have swatched all the eye-shadows with no base or primer... to see how they really perform!
Layers and Big Tip are gorgeous highlighter shades to me. I love using Dignity, a slightly reddish brown, as a blending colour for a smokey eye. Whipped and Chain are lovely golden shimmers which are perfect for a night out! Or an inner corner highlight!
Next we have a set of slightly darker shades. Again, strip me is a perfect neutral highlight colour to team with the collection of shades. Let Loose is a subtle golden brown shimmer which works perfectly alongside Get Loose and Naked Nights. Then we have, personally, my favourite colour Super Cool which is a shimmery black. It just looks so gorgeous!
Next we have Dollar Bill which is a great matte highlight shade for those of you that are scared of shimmer highlights! Desired is a deep matte brown shade whereas Stripped All Day is more of a sandy matte brown. H.O.T is a lovely matte grey and Bare 2 is a slightly deeper matte grey. Revolution have done a fantastic job with these matte shades! It really is hard to pull off mattes however they have done a stunning job here!
I love these shades! For me they are very wearable for both day and night. The pigmentation is fantastic even without a base! They are so soft and creamy they go on beautifully to the eye. So far I've had no issues with creasing! This lovely little palette has slid its way in to my everyday make-up bag. Definitely a must have for me.
E103 Pro Blending Brush
Now we move on to the Pro Blending Brush which Makeup Revolution kindly sent me with the above palette. Again I am in love with the rose gold packaging and detail. I'm also in love with the £1.95 price tag... unbelievable!
The brush itself has a study plastic handle. The brush itself is unbelievably soft and the hairs are so dense. Perfect for blending! I'll be the first person to say I am terrible at blending however this little beauty did the work for me! I'm totally going to invest in a few more of these so I have a few blending brushes in my collection!
So there we have it! My double review of two fantastic Makeup Revolution products! Have you tried the Makeup Revolution Stripped & Bare palette or any of their brushes? What is your favourite Makeup Revolution product? Let me know in the comments!
