Soap & Glory - Sexy Mother Pucker XL Extreme Plump Lip Plumping Gloss in Pink Out Loud - Review

Hello everyone! I hope you are all well! I have been meaning to review this product for the longest time but I never got round to it - however today I did! Today I am going to be telling you my thoughts on the Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker XL Lip Gloss!

Soap & Glory - Sexy Mother Pucker XL Extreme Plump Lip Plumping Gloss in Pink Out Loud

I recieved this gloss in the Soap & Glory Yule Monty set. Admittedly I wouldn't go out and buy this for myself. The whole lip plumping craze went right past me as I think my lips are far too big naturally to be plumped - I'm always being told I have 'natural kiss shaped lips' and I for one think they are massive enough as it is so I tend to not want to draw more attention to them! However I thought I would give it a go! Before I get in to the before and after pictures I'll let you know all the details! If you check out the Boots website this retails for £10.00 for 10ml of product. I have used this gloss a few times, particularly over the holiday season and it doesn't even look like I've touched it so the amount is good however since I am not the biggest lip product fan I'm not sure if I could justify spending £10 on this for myself. However for those looking for fuller lips this may just be a sound investment!

Before

For those of you new to lip plumpers I'll explain how this one works. You apply this on like any other lip gloss. For around five minutes your lips will tingle - for me this wasn't a painful sensation. I was initially worries as some people have described it as a mini allergic reaction and I have sensitive skin with a tendancy to have allergic reactions at the drop of a hat... however I was fine! I lived! Then your lips, in theory, should appear fuller! As you can see my lips are pretty full and natural have a bit of colour to them. This is my before shot!

After

And this is after, forgive the bright lighting - the sun was everywhere on Sunday! As you can see my lips are the same size but the actual lips themselves appear (even...urgh) fuller! I was sceptical as to if I would be a good tester for this product since my lips are already pretty full however I was pretty shocked to discover that it still gives my lips that bit of umph behind them! The results last for around an hour and the lovely pink shade is adorable as it gives just a hint of colour.

So okay I won't be running out to pick up a dozen lip plumpers. I still don't think I really need them but its nice to have in my collection for nights out and for photography!

Have you tried the Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker XL lip glosses? What were your thoughts? Have you tried any lip plumpers? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

TRESemme Protect - Pro Vitamin B5 Reconstructing Deep Conditioning Treatment Masque - Review

As you may have seen in my review of the TRESemme Pro-Shine Heat Protect Style Primer I have been trying out the TRESemme brand a lot lately. Hair care has become something I pride myself in and I have always been a fan of using a hair masque or deep conditioner once a week! Just as a little treat! Today I am taking a look at what TRESemme has to offer with their Pro Vitamin B5 Reconstructing Deep Conditioning Treatment Masque.

TRESemme Protect - Pro Vitamin B5 Reconstructing Deep Conditioning Treatment Masque

Firstly the tub you get is enormous! 500ml will last you a while! I have been using this for a month, so I have used it four times as I use it once a week, if you didn't know any better it doesn't look like I have even touched this product since I bought it!

Once again the scent is the typical TRESemme smell which is nice in the shower and doesn't linger for too long. The actual masque itself is white in colour and almost has the thickness of a body butter. The tub suggests that you leave this masque on for five minutes however I tend to leave the masque on longer whilst I am having a soak etc.

So what are the results? I have noticed that the breakage of my hair in the shower has definitely decreased which is fantastic however I can't comment much on the split ends front as I don't suffer that badly from them! My hair is always left feeling lovely and soft after using this masque and is much easier to style which is a bonus. I am really happy with the results it has on my hair and considering it will last me for so long you can't complain!

Have you tried this hair masque or any other masques by TRESemme? What hair masques or deep conditioners are you currently loving? Let me know in the comments!

Poundland Beauty: Derma Nature Q10 Eye Cream - Review

Hello everyone! Today is the first of a blog series I hope you all will like - Poundland Beauty. I think we can all agree that saving money and watching our wallets is something we all do - particularly when we have splurged in the month. It is also an amazing feeling when you find a cheap alternative to an expensive product. So I thought I would start this series! All of the products I will be featuring come to the grand total of, yes you guessed it, £1! These posts will come as and when I try products from the Poundland range so don't worry too much about half my content being disrupted! Anyway on to the review!

Poundland Beauty - Derma Nature Q10 Eye Cream

My first review is on Derma Nature Q10 eye cream. For the longest time I have wanted to introduce an eye cream in to my skin care routine. I have a day and night cream and a good skin care routine however an eye cream was missing. Eye creams always tend to be expensive which is why I was drawn to this cheap alternative. The little plastic tube came packaged in a nice sturdy box which is good for only £1. The packaging itself, particularly the tube itself looks pretty sleek too.

The packaging lists that it contains coenzyme Q10, jojoba Oil and Vitamin E. The packaging also states that the eye cream contains an anti-wrinkle formula and is soothing and refreshing. The packaging also states that this eye cream is made by Mellor & Russell which if you take a look at the Derma Nature range lists their eye cream with a RRP of £3.49.

The actual product comes in a squeeze plastic tube. As I said previously the packaging itself is pretty sleek which is surprising or such a cheap price. I love the applicator, it has a narrow tip, perfect for applying the little amount you need for under your eyes. The cream itself is white and actually feels like a mixture of a cream and a serum which is lovely.

So does this affordable product live up its claims? Well I obviously can't comment on its anti-ageing claims just yet... however since using this eye cream the skin underneath my eyes has been a lot smoother and alot easier to apply make-up too. Sometimes I think the skin just needs a good moisturiser to sort it out! The cream is also soothing and refreshing and produces a cooling sensation - for me this feels amazing after a long day under my eyes!

Overall I am very happy with this product. Usually I would say that 'you can't argue for £1' however I was genuinely surprised with this product. I think its perfect for those of you that like me are starting out with eye creams. Personally I feel like my skin at 21 is still going strong for now - especially since I have a good skincare routine currently - however I think that starting to use an eye cream has helped my skin even more!

Have you tried this out? What eye cream do you currently use? Let me know in the comments!

TRESemme Pro-Shine Heat Protect Style Primer - Review

TRESemme Pro-Shine Heat Protect Style Primer

For the longest time I have wanted to check out some TRESemme products. Years ago I gave the brand a brief try however now more than ever I have been interested in hair care and since TRESemme is so highly regarded I thought I would give the brand another go!

I heard fantastic things about this product. It is a styler and a heat protector in one and is apparently a product the X Factor hair team use. Supposedly the product also helps with the manageability of your hair whilst styling. Personally I agree with all the fantastic things I have heard from this product and everything that it claims which is rare! Not only is this product effective heat protection it also leaves the hair with a lovely glossy finish. This product also seems to help to hold the hair in place when its styled in my opinion.

I think this product makes the hair easier to style, protects it effectively from heat and produces a flawless finish on the hair. I use this on both wet and dry hair to aid styling/ protect my hair throughout my styling process - I always look for a product that I can use on wet and dry hair and this ticks that box.

The packaging is sleek which is appealing. The spray function of the bottle also equally disperses the product on your hair with a mist of the liquid. The smell of this product is the typical TRESemme scent which I expected. I picked this up for £5.50 at tesco here. The price isn't bad, to be honest you are paying for the brand name, but I think there a few I have tried that provide similar results if you are after a more budget alternative.

Have you tried the TRESemme Pro-Shine Heat Protect Style Primer? What were your thoughts? If you haven't what heat protector would you recommend? Let me know in the comments!

Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow Pencil - Review

Hello everyone! Today I am reviewing a product that a few people have asked  my opinion on and requested that  I review - the Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow Pencil.

Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow Pencil

The Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow Pencil is a product that I always come back to. No matter what this is in my vanity/make-up bag for those days that I want a natural looking brow. I always come back to this pencil no matter what other brow product I am trying at that time. The results from this eyebrow pencil are so flawless and effortless which is why I always recommend it to everyone - especially beginners at brow filling/shaping!

Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow Pencil - Black/Brown

I am in the colour black brown. I must admit the name initially confused me, is it black or is it brown?! However when you see the product on and blended you can see that it is a mix/ variety of a brown verging on a black - perfect for those like me with darker hair.

Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow Pencil

As you can see this eyebrow pencil truly gives a natural brow. For those of you that are more interested in having naturally filled in and fuller looking brows then this is perfect for you and for only £2.99 at Boots it is a complete steal and definitely worth picking up and trying!

What is your favourite eyebrow pencil? Have you tried the Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow Pencil? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

The Body Shop - Coconut Shower Cream, Body Milk and Loofa - Review

Hello guys! Today I thought I would do a little mini review of a gift set. I rarely buy from The Body Shop nowadays. Part of this is down to the fact that there really isn't one local to me unless I am travelling out of my town. Another part of this is because I just don't have any must have products from The Body Shop. I love their tea tree oil products and think they are a must for those of you that suffer from acne. However for myself I rarely ever go. I only tend to receive these little gift sets of their products!

The most recent gift I received was their Coconut themed set which came with a shower cream, a body milk and a little mini loofa. I love these little mini sets they are so cute! The shower cream and body milk are like little travel sizes and come in 60ml bottles which both have a squeeze top dispenser for easy use.

The little loofa has come in handy for me to use whilst my big Soap & Glory loofa is in the wash. The shower gel lathers up perfectly and has a luscious coconut smell whereas the body milk nourishes and smooths the skin whilst leaving that very same coconut smell lingering on your skin.

Overall I think these mini sets are a great little gift. For those of you like me that are constantly switching about the products we use then it is perfect. It is also perfect for any Body Shop fans you may know or if you fancy trying out their different scents! You can pick up these little boxes/gift sets from The Body Shop in their £6 and under range here - yes £6 they are a little bargain!

What have you tried from The Body Shop? What products and scents would you recommend? Let me know in the comments!

Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara - Review

Hello everyone - so here is my first review since Bella's Beauty Blog saw its first anniversary/birthday. Today I am taking a look at a mascara - the Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara to be exact!

Soap & Glory - Thick & Fast Mascara

I haven't delved too much in to Soap & Glory cosmetics. However their mascara has left me wanting to try more! This mascara claims to be a super volume mascara and it delivers! As you can tell the brush/wand is pretty thick which helps to add volume to the lashes. Even though the brush is big it is still very easy to work with to add extra volume in to those corner lashes.

The formula itself is wet however it dries on the lashes quickly so you won't have any dots of residue around the eyes as you're waiting for it to dry. The formula also dries slightly with age in the tube so if you like a drier formula for your mascara I suggest giving this a bit of time to dry out before having a play with it. Unlike some other mascaras that tend to get worse results as they near their shelf life - Soap & Glory Thick & Fast keeps up its performance well!

Soap & Glory - Thick & Fast Mascara - On the lashes

Here is Soap & Glory - Thick & Fast on my lashes! As you can tell my lashes have tons of volume. My lashes are also separated very well. So yes I can confirm this mascara makes your lashes look thick and it does it fast! The only slight problem I have is the price - you can pick this up for £10 at boots. Although this isn't bad I can think of a few drugstore mascaras that are cheaper - though its debatable if any give such natural volume to the lashes. Personally I think the extra money is worth it if you want your lashes to look natural because this mascara doesn't leave that stiff looking appearance on the lashes. Your lashes still look fluffy and natural but with added volume.

Overall I would totally recommend this mascara to anyone looking for added extra volume! Have you tried Soap & Glory Thick & Fast yet? What were your thoughts? If not what mascara are you loving at the minute? Let me know in the comments!

Product Empties #11

Product Empties

Here we are again with another product empties post. Admittedly it has been a while since I have done an empties blog post but I have been sticking to using up products pretty well recently and I wanted to make sure I had a good range of products to talk to you guys about! So lets get right in to it!

Batiste Dry Shampoo - XXL Volume

I have mentioned this on my blog on my Should by Hyped Saturday series before and I plan on doing a ful review (I actually thought I'd reviewed this before but turns out I haven't - we will have to fix that!) It is an amazing product - I'll save my full thoughts for the review but I use to stop my bangs/fringe  developing gaps throughout the day! It also makes it stay put and much thicker! This product well and truly adds volume.

Elvive Colour Protect Conditioning Protect Spray

I have mentioned this in a few product empties post. This is something I just quickly spray on my hair when I hop out of the shower. For those of you that colour your hair it is a great way to add extra UVA and UVB protection alongside making sure your hair is soft when it dries. I always grab this as its become a staple in my hair care routine. I totally recommend this!

Tesco Pro Formula - Hair Defence Intensive Masque with Keratin & Argan Oil

I reviewed this deep conditioning hair masque here if you would like to take a look. This is a great cheap masque if you're looking to save a few pennies and is occasionally on offer for around £1.50 if you keep your eye out! It leaves the hair feeling nice and soft and puts life in to your hair when it looks a bit lifeless! If you are just starting out with hair masques and deep conditioners I would recommend this.

Rimmel Lasting Finish 16 Hour Foundation

Once again if you want my full thoughts on this product I have reviewed it here. Overall this is my go to foundation that I chuck in my bag when I'm on the go or staying at the OH as it is a great foundation to use on any type of skin day. It lasts for a good duration and gives a lovely natural finish which acts as a good base for the rest of your make-up. It also took me a while to finish this off, embarrassingly I think I've had this for around 2 years, but a little goes a long way and for such an affordable price you can't argue with it\!

Soft & Gentle Deodorant

You always have to chuck in the boring/mundane product you finish! Soft & Gentle deodorant - Great, long lasting, no white marks and comes in bigger bottles so you don't have to repurchase it every week. What more can I say?

Lush - Snow Fairy

After two years of having this I finally used it up! I'm sad actually because I now have to wait till Christmas to get it again! If you haven't heard of this infamous product you really need to try it! It has the best scent imaginable! If you love sweet scents Snow Fairy is perfect for you! As soon as I can I plan on picking up another huge bottle of this stuff!

Simple Kind to Eyes - Eye Make-Up Remover

Here is another product I featured on my Should be Hyped Saturday series which you can check out here. I also plan on doing a full review of this too. I have been using this for so long that whenever I need a new eye make-up remover I just grab for this. Admittedly sometimes I have been lazy and used this to take off all my make-up - okay I confess throw me in skincare jail! But it really does hold up and manages to remove all my make-up!

Wilko Baby Cotton Buds

Another mundane product! Cotton buds - great for eyeliner, eyeshadow and correcting those occasional eyebrow fixing mistakes. A beauty must have. You can find these cotton buds in Wilkinsons.

Cotton Soft - Cotton Rounds

Cotton pads are once again another product you just need! They're great for skin care, make-up removal and removing nail polish. I tend to bounce between 3 different types as they all seem to do the job for me!

So there you have it! Another product empties post! Have you tried any of these products? Do you write product empties posts? Let me know in the comments!
